It's too late to make a hair appointment for prom. I was just asked today and prom is a week away. Any tips for an updo thats simple? I also need any advice on getting my curls to stay. Should I use hot curlers, or a curling iron?

You can pull it up into a ponytail and just leave a couple of tendrils loose on the sides. Wrap sections of the ponytail to curl into spirals and then spiral curl the tendrils. You can get small decorations and use them to pin the curls into place. It turns out really cute. I have quite a few pics of some simple ones I have done myself. If you're interested email me and I'll send pics of the ones I've done and explain how to do them. I do hair all day everyday and up dos are one of my favorites things to do. use a curling iron and a lot of hairspray... u dont even have to do an updo..something simple will be nice

How about pulling your hair into a ponytail towards the top of the back of your head....then, take a curling iron and curl sections of it (hairspray it when it's on the iron), then after you curl each section, take a bobby pin and pin it up close towards the base of the ponytail....turns out cute..i did my nieces hair like that for a formal..

yeah, but it up in a cute bun, but before you do curl it both ways( back and forth) then spray it with hairspray!
