How can I wear my hair in my prom? I'm lost for ideas!?

I'm wearing a strapless, sweetheart neckline emerald-green silk dress which is gathered at the bust area and has a strap of gold embroidery just under the bust. It's floor-length and it doesn't puff out, it's tight on the top half and then just goes down to the floor (if that makes sense!).

So I want a hairstyle that compliments my dress. My hair is straight, about two inches below my shoulders and it's dark (almost black). I want to avoid putting all my hair up though since it doesn't flatter me so are there any nice hairstyles that involve half my hair up or something like that. Pictures are welcome.

I got my prom in 8 weeks and my hair is just like yours. My dress seems similar to yours too. Hope we not from the same school! Anyways, whilst I was searching the net from some hairstyles, I found this site very useful:

I had mine in a french pleat and it was boring

or try curling your hair before the big night to see how it is.

put it half up with it curled-but not very tight curls

if u have bangs part them to one side and leave tht part straight

or u can curl it very tight and have the bottom curled into soft curls and again same with bangs

or

you can leave it loose and curl it into average curls--not too loose, not too tight

talk to a hair stylist as she can tell u what will suit ur features best!!!
