i have brown hair and i am trying to grow it out. and i really dont want to look like a dude at prom could someone please help me by suggesting any hairstyles that would look nice thanks a bunch.

a cute jewel headband...or a butterfly clip you can put on one side of your hair, big chandeler earrings.

you could put "diamond" clips (lil' baby diamond clips) in your hair in random areas, and give yourself some highlights around the face....that's what I did when I got a really bad, reallllllly short haircut and I had an event---I put those tiny clips in my hair, mine had tiny jeweled flowers in them.

Try some extensions. now a days, extensions are so cheap, that even me could afford, LOL. Try going to the Hair Salon and ask for extensions. They look good in everybody, and even famous people are using them.

put a bunch of little ponytails evenly across the front...i mean tiny! or a cute headband with the bangs out. or a pretty tiara would be cute! but that really depends on the style of your dress. get some ideas from magazines or your hairstylist as well!

You should go to a stylist and have it curled right and pinned up. That's what my sister did for her prom...she has short hair too. It looks really pretty.

You should go to your local hair salon and ask them what you could do for prom or just take some clips,headbands or what ever you have and just play around with your hair and try to see what looks good on you until you find the perfect style.
