Prom hair: would this work? Wavy hair down, fringe but with part of hair pulled back... pics to expl

I would like to wear my hair down and I would like it wavy. I have a fairly oval face. I'm thinking of getting a choppy fringe cut out.

Would it look alright if I had my hair wavy, with a fringe, but with sorta volume behind the fringe? like sorta this (http://zerointimidation.files.wordpress.... , but with wavy hair and fringe like the pic below

cept the fringe a bit different

Also if you have a pic or can find one, of sorta like what I mean, so that I can show it to my hair dresser? Thanks so much!

Wow! If you wear the shirt in the second pic, it won't matter what your hair looks like.

But for the record, the hairstyle is nice, too.

Sounds pretty nice..

i always think wavy/ curly hair is more approriate than straight for formals.

Don't over do the outfit with the fringe if the dress is awesome- you want it to stand out the most!! =)

the hairstyle in the second pic looks perfectly cool to me.

you can add some flowers or cute pin on your hair.

There are a few things to consider when choosing a hairdo for a formal.

What is the weather like where you live, is it hot and dry? Humid? Cold?

Long wavy hair may not hold well if it's humid.

You will need some good products, a wide barreled curling iron and/or hot rollers.

You will want a texturizer like sebastian's molding mud to really define the fringe and hair ends.

It is a pretty style, hope it works for you.
