Not sure how to apply makeup? Scroll down.

Steps

Apply lotion. Before starting, always use moisturizer on your face!

Smooth. With your index finger, gently smooth concealer that's one shade lighter than your skin tone under the eye to cover any darkness there.

Choose the right color. If you have blemishes, use foundation that's the exact color of your skin to cover. Step back from the mirror and check whether you have any blotches or redness. Take a little bit of foundation and only cover that spot. Blend it well.

Pat. Using a powder puff, pat a small amount of powder lightly over face to set your makeup. Skip this step and your cover-up will disappear! Warm tone powder works the best.

Comb. Using a brow brush or a toothbrush, comb your eyebrows up and across, or softly apply eyeshadow [matching your eyebrow color] to fill in brows, making them appear fuller.

Shadow. Use finger or a brush to apply a shimmery shadow to the eyelid. Silvery Lavender shades can look good on anyone.

Blush. Apply cream blush to the apples of your cheeks. Smile a big smile, blend up and in a circular motion, always blending towards the temple.

Curl. ALWAYS use an eyelash curler, even when applying transparent mascara. It can make your eyelashes look very professional. If you dont know how to use it see related wikihows below. BEWARE: NEVER BUY A HEATED EYELASH CURLER. It does the exact same thing as a blowdryer, it dries up your lashes. Mascara goes on top and bottom lashes- always apply it thicker on the outer lashes. It makes your eyes look big and sexy. Apply 1 or 2 coats and let it dry in between. For the bottom lashes, blot the mascara wand on toilet paper and swish it back and forth on the bottom lashes.

Apply lip color. Fill in entire lip using a creamy lip pencil. Then, using your finger or brush, spread gloss on top. Experiment with colors and textures. Or find out your skin tone, and the colors that match it. Always use a transparent gloss over lipstick.

Tips

Experiment with light, fun colors - pastels, soft metallics, and bright colors. Go beyond powder shadows for textures that are creamy, shimmery, sparkly or glittery.

Too much is never good. It depends on your eye color, green %26amp; blue eyes can apply as much as they would like, and brown eyes should always do it 3/4's on top and bottom. But if one has small eyes, just dont apply eyeliner at all. It also helps if one applies eyeliner just on top. But always, draw the liner as close to the lash line as possible.

Only use white eyeliner on the inside of your eyes. Use it sparingly for a sexy look. Otherwise, it looks too Cirque de Soleil.

Draw a black or brown line the closest you can get to your top lash line, but draw the line by making small dashes at a time. Then get a shadow that is the same color as the liner (in this case black or brown) and go over the liner. You don't need to smudge it, but if you need to, use a cotton swab. Voila! Sexy, smoky, and modern.

Make sure your eyebrows are natural-looking. Just tweeze stray hairs. Do not over-pluck! Over-plucking is the common mistakes teenage girls make. To know what shape you should tweeze follow the instructions:

Put your finger on the crease of your right eye and move to the left until you can touch your 'nose bone'.

Move up in a straight line and that's where your brow should start, otherwise, pluck.

Use a mirror to find the center of your eyeball (including color %26amp; pupil) and move up diagonally. That is where your eyebrow should curve upwards.

Then put your finger on the end of your eye and move up diagonally and that is where your eyebrow should end.

If this is too complicated for you, then go out and buy a stencil.

Beware: Never wax your eyebrows on your own.

If you have very light skin, use pale pinks. If you have medium skin, use sandy pinks. If you have dark or black skin, choose deep, rich colors, like soft plum or deep bronze. If you have yellow or olive skin, look for shades like pink, tawny or rose, and stay away from peach and bronze. The wrong blush makes you look dirty, bruised or pasty. Cream blush looks the most fresh and natural.

Blush fading already? Use lip stick, or lip liner. Or if you are carrying none of those, then press on your cheeks with your index finger, and your middle finger. (Or with all of them, but try to form a circle.)

Start with either a light or dark shade. It doesn't matter which goes on first since you can adjust later on. Too dark? Blot with tissue and layer on lighter shades with white, beige or pink. Too light? Build up darker shades like blackberry, which magically turns any lip into an evening look. Too intense? Use beige to mute almost any color. Too blah? Use red to brighten-but use sparingly. Use lip pencil and lip balm to create your own color.

Eye Shadow %26amp; Lip Balm = Matte Lipstick. To make lip color last longer, use a lip pencil on top of lip stick.

When you're putting on foundation, stand two feet away from the mirror that way you won't be tempted to slash it on every single little blackhead.

Warnings

Don't get anything inside your eyes.

Don't eat the makeup.

Don't go overboard- a little mascara, blush, and lipgloss is really all you need to look fresh!

Blue Eyeshadow rarely works.

Don't get shocking pink lipstick/lipgloss- it doesn't look good on anyone.

Prom hair and makeup?

think gold eyeshadow and all your basic makeup stuff will go well. with bronzer instead of blush.

Prom hair and makeup?

go simple, less is more. have fun!

Prom hair and makeup?

I think you should wear your hair up. Maybe you should curl your hair first then pin it up. For your make-up go for a natural look or nite time look. Maybe soft colors on your eyes like soft pinks tans and make sure it has some shimmer and a every light lip. Or if you want the nite time look do a smokey eye and natural or red lip

Prom hair and makeup?

It would be a nice idea to have your hair in a ponytail since the dress is strapless. In that way you give "space" for nice necklace or long earings without the result being "heavy".

Try to avoid dark colours in eye shadow or on your lips. The dress is already dark blue so your makeup must be very light but illuminating at the same time.

Prom hair and makeup?

You can pin your hair up into a real cute updo so that you hair wont take away from your dress.go to promspot .com and look at their prom updo styles.

Prom hair and makeup?

I could see you in a very pretty combation lavender and green eyeshadow or go for a shimmering brown eyeshadow black masarcua and clear long lasting lipgloss or a sheer pink which you can find a a local mall deparments such as lancome foundation and eyeliner are up to you if you want to but personally i dont like eyeliner or foundation. remeber eyeshadow color ou where should not match your outfit but in this case your dress. For your hair i could see you in waves and mabye put a flower in it

I hope you have fun at prom

Prom hair and makeup?

Keep it simple. You don't want to look overdone. Some gold eyeshadow, mascara, base. A bit of pink lipgloss or lipstick, red if you're more daring. Curl your hair at the ends and wear it up, that'll look really cute. Pluck your eyebrows!

Prom hair and makeup?

Smokey eyes are a must for prom! For your hair and dress color, I would suggest using silver, dark blue, and black shadows with black liner and mascara. First apply the silver all over, brow to lash. Then apply the blue to your lids only. Next, apply the black to the creases and inside corner or your eyes. Dab with a tissue to blend. Apply a thick line of black mascara to your top and bottom lash lines and finish with a thick coat of black thickening mascara. Viola! Sexy, sultry, smokey eyes perfect for prom! For your hair, big curls, and you might consider a gold shimmer powder for your hair and chest. Good Luck, hope this helps. Have fun at prom!!!
