I'd like to know if anyone can give some ideas on how to do that hairstyle? There aren't a lot of pictures from the back, that's about the best view you can get and I haven't a clue how what to do first and I really like this look. =) Please help?

Isn't Carrie just adorable?! I really like her.
Anyway, I think this is how you can get the same look:
1. Section off a portion of your hair at the top (close to the front...see how the hair that goes over the top starts just behind her bangs?). Use a clip to hold the hair forward and out of the way while you work on the rest of the hair.
2. Pull hair from the sides of your head (starting right in front of your ears...like where the side burns are on a guy), and clip the hair with a barrette/clip at the crown of your head (the crown being the spot that's at the top back of your head...like where a man tends to start balding first). Make sure you clip it so that there's a bit of a poof forward of the barrette.
3. Take the hair you've sectioned off and comb it all forward. Using a rat-tail comb, tease hair gently at the roots, spray with a strong-hold hair spray and gently blow-dry the spot with a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer. Rat small sections of the hair to get maximum volume of all the hair. Repeat the spray/drying for each section.
4. With a soft brush, brush the hair back over top the clipped hair, gently shaping it to the desired look. Spray with atomic hold hair spray, and gently blow-dry it with the diffuser attachment.
Just an observation...it looks like Carrie has hair extensions in this picture. If you are going to use the extensions, I'd say put those on before you do clip on the barrette.
